Ce rôle nécessite du leadership, de la coordination avec l’équipe de vinification et une gestion stratégique des processus de la cave, de la fermentation à l’élevage.
Job Summary:
The Cellar & Quality Control Manager oversees all cellar operations during the harvest season, ensuring the maintenance of winemaking equipment, wine quality, and cleanliness. This role requires leadership, coordination with the winemaking team, and strategic management of the cellar’s processes from fermentation to aging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cellar Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate cellar staff in daily operations, ensuring smooth fermentation, racking, blending, and aging processes.
- Quality Control Oversight: Lead quality assurance activities, including monitoring fermentation, conducting wine analysis (Brix, pH, sulfur), and ensuring wine consistency and quality.
- Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of winemaking equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.
- Staff Training & Supervision: Train and supervise cellar assistants, ensuring adherence to quality control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Sanitation & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all cellar areas, equipment, and processes meet cleanliness and safety standards, minimizing the risk of contamination.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of cellar activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control results for compliance and continuous improvement.
Work Conditions:
- Minimum Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week throughout the year
- Harvest Hours: 50-65 hours/week
